An email in response to the news from friends who were moving to San Diego:

Ezra and Ada,*

Had not heard you moved – congratulations! San Diego is a great city, and will be all the more so once The Wall is built. (And once we rid ourselves of the murderers and rapists from south of the border, we can go back to the original, all-American name for the city: “San Diego.”)

Jeb* tells me that you are actually commuting up to Orange County every day. If that’s even half true, it’s kind of insane. The only way that mind-numbing journey up the 5, through the base, makes sense is if you have a driver. But good luck finding one. All the federal workers are getting paid again, and we’re sending all the Mexicans back where they came from.
